SoleQuiz

Privacy and cookies

SoleQuiz is made and run by Solecraft AB. Here is what the service keeps, why, for how long and where.

The players

Players have no accounts. A game keeps the nickname, the figure, the answers and the points, so that the scoreboard and the statistics work.

After 13 months the names are removed, and only the numbers are left: how many played and how many were right.

Those who make and run quizzes

An account keeps the name, the email, the password (only as a hash, never readable) and, for two-step sign-in, the key for the app and the passkeys. The quizzes and the pictures uploaded belong to the organisation.

The account stays until it is removed. A free organisation that has not been used for six months is removed, with a mail to its admins a month before.

Reports, orders and mail

A report of a fault keeps what you write, the page, the browser, the size of the screen and a screenshot if you add one. An order keeps the contact and invoice details, to make the account and send the invoice.

Mail from the service, such as invitations, links and receipts, is sent through Postmark, which handles the address and the mail for us. Nothing else leaves the service.

Where it is

On Solecraft's own servers in Sweden. The server keeps an ordinary log of requests, with the IP address, for running it and for security. Backups are encrypted and kept for six months, so what is removed is gone from them too after that.

Cookies

Only the cookies the service needs to work are set, so nobody is asked about them. None come from advertisers, social media or other companies, and page views are counted without cookies.

Name What it does How long
_solecraft_quiz_key Keeps you signed in, protects the forms against forgery, and remembers the language. Until the browser is closed
_solecraft_quiz_web_user_remember_me Keeps you signed in, if you choose to be kept signed in. 14 days

A player's phone also keeps a code in the browser for each game, so that a phone that loses the network comes back as the same player; in a season, the season's code of four characters, so that the next game counts as the same player; and whether the sound is on. It is not a cookie and is never sent anywhere else.

Who is responsible

Solecraft AB, org. no. 559601-3176, Mogatan 21, 702 13 Örebro, is responsible for the accounts and for what the service keeps itself. For what a school or a company puts in, such as its quizzes and its players' names, the organisation is responsible and Solecraft handles it on its behalf. Write to us if you need an agreement for that.

To know what is kept about you, or to have it corrected or removed, write to info@solecraft.se. You can also turn to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
